I was at Aldi's and saw frozen ground turkey 1 lb. for 1.99.
I got it and everyone seemed to like it but I never got it before and
didn't know if it was a good deal or not.

Thats about what it is at my local grocery store. For awhile they had some cheaper stuff and it was $.65 for a 1lb package. It didnt have a good consistency to make like turkey burgers but it worked good fried up in spaghetti and hot dishes.

When it is on sale I can get it for $1 per LB. I have never tried making burgers with it, just tacos and chili ect. DH was dead set against it until he tried it and couldn't tell the differance. Now he will will brag about it if we ever happen to use it when people are over.

Our store had it on sale for $1/lb a few weeks ago but that was an unusual sale. I fry up about 5 lbs of meat at a time and then freeze in 1 lb chunks to use for quick meals. When I do that, I usually use 1-2 lbs of ground turkey and the rest ground beef. It makes it a little healthier, less expensive and different nutrients. It's all mixed together too so you pretty much just get the ground beef flavor.
