Thanks for all of the input everyone... It sounds like the majority of people use them in one way or another. Someone mentioned earlier about reusing them with new sides. That is what we do alot, because it seems like meat is what we often have leftover.

I always try to avoid having leftovers unless its something I can either freeze really well or that I want me and DD to have for lunch. DH will NOT do leftovers (except pizza and wings. . .go figure). I wish he would eat leftovers- nothing I love more than leftover pasta or chili- yum!!!

If there are leftovers such as meat or veggies I either freeze for another meal, put veggies in my freezer "soup bag", or try to come up with a dish for the next day that I can disguise leftovers in.

In our house....very rare 4 us being that we are big family of nine. So...if we do have left overs...we eat within the next 48 hours before throwing it out.

Dh takes them for lunch. When I make Casseoles or Meatloaf I make a full recipe and then freeze half before I cook it. This is very convient when I have a day when I don't want to cook!! I will be sad when the kids get bigger and start eating more; then I won't be able to freeze that extra half!

We do eat leftovers but sometimes my sister and i swap leftovers. She only lives a 1/2 mile away so we do this about once a week. The kids think it is great and this way niether one of us is wasting anything.

If I don't finish a pot in the morning, I put it in the fridge and either drink "iced coffee" in the afternoon or zap it in the microwave. I don't know about you, but come 3:00 in the afternoon, I need caffeine!

We always eat leftovers, well my dh takes whatever is left for lunch the next day. I don't like to eat something more than twice though.

This is so interesting to me -- I can't imagine NOT eating leftovers. Some meals are better after sitting overnight, IMO-- sauces and stews come to mind as ususally better the next day. Although I admit that 2 nights is my limit to eat the same thing...
