We eat leftovers at our house. Hubby is a big eater so there usually isn't much left over but if there is we either have it again the following day (or a couple of days later) for supper or someone eats it for lunch. Sometimes I forget about them and then have to toss them but not very often.

We always eat our leftovers! Me and dd's eat them for lunch the next day or hubby takes them. If I cook on mon and tues then we'll combo the leftovers for wed and I don't cook that night. Also, I use leftover meat or chicken for soup or enchiladas. I even use all the leftover onions in my takeout mongolian beef from our favorite chinese restaurant in crockpot roasts.

I have to agree with alot of your posts.
I also can't imagine NOT eating leftovers.

Why is it that those who don't or won't eat leftovers?

There are so many Meals I can think of that I look forward to the next day for lunch,
Spaghetti sauce, Meatloaf, Chili , Soups , Taco meat ( tacos for dinner, taco salad for lunch) , beef stew, Baked ziti. and More MMMMM.
We also love to get chineese food and Have it last for two or three meals .

I also love a cold slice of pizza from last nights pie

The one thing I Cannot agree on is the Reheated coffee.

Coffee has to be brewed within one or two hours for my tastes.

It depends. My husband will not eat leftovers. I will and sometimes the kids will. I usually just cook for what we need, the four of us. Erin

I eat them. Sometimes even for breakfast (I'm weird). My husband used to take them to work, but he doesn't really like doing that. of course he also doesn't really like sandwiches.

Prior to me starting my weight loss journey last December I hated to eat leftovers. But once I started Weight Watchers, leftovers were ok. And then I once I started watching our money closely leftovers do not go in the garbage here. My taste buds changed -- that was my reasoning to my hubby (he use to pick on me when I would not eat leftovers).

We always eat our leftovers. Very rarely do they get thrown away - usually just if they get pushed to the back of the fridge and lost. With the way food has gone up, I'm going to be more vigilant about making sure nothing gets "lost" in the back of the fridge. DH takes them for lunch, kids and I eat them for lunch and we usually have one "leftovers only" night a week which my husband refers to as the buffet because you usually get a little bit of several things.

I think my DH would starve without leftovers, we just don't have the $ for him to get lunch out or make huge lunchmeat sandwiches, so if he forgets his lunch, he lives on granola bars from work

My DS also eats leftovers every day. Since I only have one child, a box of mac and cheese lasts 4 lunches (if mixed with veg and served with applesauce). Plus, he eats dinner earlier than my DH and I right now, always by 5, so he often eats what we had the night before as I make dinner for that night.

If you have bacteria concerns, just heat them up thorougly. Also, do not keep reheating the same portion, only heat what you need, constant reheating builds bacteria.

Sometimes I think DH has a lead stomach, he eats things I thought were long gone!
I eat leftovers for breakfast sometimes too and reheat coffee

I eat weird things for breakfast too! I usually take leftovers for lunch unless it is something we can all 3 eat again. I hate throwing food away!!
