So I posted that poll asking how often you go grocery shopping. And I was kinda shocked to see that most people go once a week or bi-weekly. Personally, I was a once a month shopper. But decided to try going every other week. And I have to say... I am saving money this way. I tend to find myself seeing what I already have and buying what I need to use what it in my pantry to make meals. Its easier to plan meals this way too. My coupons dont expire faster than I can use them and its easier to shop sales.

Also, shopping this way doesnt seem to take FOREVER!!! Cause Im not buying as much. I found myself buying the sammmmme thing over and over going once a month. That got old. So thanks for voting in my poll!! Youve helped me change my ways and save money!!

I'm a once a month shopper too, but I'm going to have to try this bi-weekly thing now! You've got me wondering

Due t o my DH paycheck scheduling the vast majority of the grocery shopping is done once a month. But I watch the fliers and buy the price grabber items if we use them.

I go 2-3 days a week. I buy lots of fresh fruit & veggies, and they only stay fresh for a few days at a time.

Glad you've made new discoveries. I usually go twice a week since we eat a lot of fresh fruit, veggies, etc. I just pick up whatever else I need at the same time and it hardly ever takes more than 15-20 min.

Same here plus we are always running out of milk.

That is why we go once a week or more. We eat a ton of fresh veggies. Plus, our milk supply goes down fast with three kids all drinking it at breakfast and dinner.

Besides, that is some time without the kids when I go at night or the weekends.

Pretty sad I get excited to go to Publix!!

I go every week too. I usually spend anywhere from $10 to $60 per week & then I do a monthly shopping to buy meat, canned goods, staples & all that. That way if there is a super good sale I don't miss out. If I do a big trip every week I buy alot more crap (chips, soda, etc) that we don't need anyway.

I try to buy the main stuff like meat every other time. I go every 2 weeks and find myself buying alot more fresh fruits and veggies if I go every other week than monthly.

Glad it's working for you.

Going weekly/bi-weekly works the best for me cause I end up getting better prices on all my meals cause I plan my meals with what I have coupons for and what is on sale.
