good article!!! good post......

my husband and I actually have no problems talking about money.......we usually have a good talk about things at least once a month.where were at what Ive paid off or on/we also go over things I want and things he wants.he's a good one though too.......I got a 50.00 purse for spring and he was thrilled that I broke down and bought it for myself.

We are very encouraging of each other about money and I think that's a big help.

We have no problems talking about money either... if he wants something and we can afford it, he gets it. If I want something and we can afford it, I get it. Life's too short to fight about money, there are bigger fish to fry!

We have learned how to talk about touchy subjects, although occasionally one of us forgets! For instance, I am NOT A MORNING PERSON so any difficult subject before 10am (noon on weekends) just isn't a good idea with me. Last week dh brought up money in the car while I was driving him to work in the morning. clearly, a mistake. after about 5 minutes I screamed multiple obscenities at him and we completed the drive in near silence.

other than that, I think we're pretty good at talking about money and finances. We talk about our goals, our expectations, and we are both conservative with our available funds and check with each other about larger purchases.

I was shocked to read in this article that 10% of people admit that retail therapy often exceeds $1000???? OH MY GOODNESS!!! I could never do that!!!
