Default with gas prices so high it's cheaper to pay shipping!

My closest big mall is thirty minutes away. Can you believe it would be cheaper to shop on line for some items and pay for shipping? With the flat rate $5 shipping some places have, I would even come out ahead. And I'm driving a frugal Honda Accord! These are crazy times...

I know what you mean. It's insane. I am always trying to decide how many errands I can get done in 1 trip to save gas.

Yeah, I live in the middle of nowhere too, so I have been combining all my trips. I run all my errands on Thursday nights when I take the kids to TaeKwanDo. I may consider doing more Christmas shopping online though. Somehow it just isn't as fun though!

I live in the country and work in the city, so I'm there 4 days a week. I combine all of my grocery shopping and other errands on Tuesday's after work, b/c my DH works at home on Tuesdays and can pick up the kids from the baby sitters. I work at home on Friday and try not to leave the house.

M, W, and Th we commute together, b/c gas is now at $3.09 for mid grade!

So yes, it does work out cheaper to buy online, plus you sometimes get better deals and coupons!

We are totally feeling the hurt on gas. We did drive a saturn that got 30 mpg but it died and now we are driving a GMC Jimmy that gets 15 mpg! DH's commute is 100 mile round trip. We spend $600 a month for him to commute to work and that's more than we pay for rent!! Needless to say we are trying to get out of our lease to move, but it's so crazy the way it is, it's just horrible!
