Ok wish me luck! Dh and I have a new goal! Our goal is to pay my vehicle off within the next two years. Payoff right now is at $25000. The loan is less than one year old, so this means doubling up on the payments for the next 24 months! I know we can do this, we'll just have to really really watch our spending and make that a priority. I am going to just have to trust this is the right thing to do. We will not be going without food, necessities, etc. but it won't be as easy to smack 18 holes once a month, or dine out as much, etc. These are things we can deal with! I figure if I say it out loud, then it's really happening! The main driving force in getting my vehicle paid off is that we plan to move out of the city within the next two years and want NO DEBT when we move!

That's great! I know you are going to be able to do it, specially with your DH on board. We are doing the same with my car.

Thanks guys! DH actually formulated the plan, I'm the one who has to follow it, since I pay the bills. I'm already a little frustrated because we have our vehicle registration, life insurance, and biannual vehicle insurance due in July and August, this is stressing me out a little bit. These are things we typically plan for, but I'm taking a trip with my girls to see my family and this has set me back about $700.00, I know, let it go and just push forward, right??

Good Luck! That is my goal as well. I am going to pay off my van this year and my dh's car next year. Then we will be debt free (except for mortgage). It's a great feeling!!! You can do it!

You can do it and I agree with the fact that saying it outloud increases your chances of meeting your goal. Good luck!
