Being a sahm, i probably use $8 a wk. in gas while dh uses around $20. He buys other things at the gas station like the paper and stuff. How much should I allot for weekly expenses? Trying to do a budget spreadsheet and know how much to consider for groceries but not everything else. Any ideas ladies?

I suggest you save all your family's receipts for a few months; then you will have a realistic idea about how much you spend in each area.

Saving the receipts will also show you exactly what items can be trimmed in the future, to stay on budget.

We spend over $50 USD a week on gas alone, but it costs $5 USD per gallon here.

We do $40 a week for eating out, coffee. We typically try not to spent much other than groceries. Gas about 30 for me and 10 for DH. I am a SAHM but I get out everyday and go places.

I spend about $65.00 per week for gas, DH fuel is provided by his company, which is a huge help. Then I spend about $15.00 having lunch or breakfast out with friends and we spend about $45.00 eating out on the weekends, I spend about $5.00 per week on magazines, for a total of $130.00 I think that I can cut some of this down once school goes out for the summer my gas cost will go way down and I won't be having lunch out with friends. Today I did something that I normally wouldn't have done I didn't buy the new scrapbooking magazines and that saved me about $12.
