This site has the best articles on techniques and new products, plus some of the most rockin, cutting-edge patterns available anywhere -- FOR FREE. The forums attached to it are also full of people (men and women, y'all) who can answer any question about knitting and fiber that you can throw at them. Plus they're a lot of fun. They also have a separate section on spinning and other fiber arts.

Knitters Review is also good, though not as thorough.
