I would not live in my apartment anymore, I would buy a nice house with land to farm and animals to raise to save money on food. I would compose since I have the space. I would have one more baby. I would stockpile, I would invest, I would set up trustfunds. I would start a large dog rescue that rehabilitates and trains dogs to be compainions for the elderly. I would give tons to my friends and family. I would be able to live without the stress that comes with living paycheck to paycheck.

Other than tweeking my house a little here or there, and of course, helping my children and family, I would enjoy not worrying where the money was going to come from every month. I wouldn't change a lot. I do have some causes that are close to my heart that would benefit from our new found fortune.

I think the more important question is what is your defination of rich. I grew up in a neighborhood where relitive to the kids I went to school with I was "RICH". No my parents worked hard and were finanialy responsable to get to where they were. To me RICH is having enough money to not have to be concerned about money. If that were the case I would have a home with a view built for me and make sure my family was taken care of. I would have summer places, travel and invest so I don't have to worry about funds running out. I would start my own buisness after my children were grown to suit what I want to do rather then what job I can find

If someone was to give me the money, I would go back to school to finish up a nursing degree and work as a L&D nurse one day!! I don't think I would have to be RICH to do that, but it is definitely going to take someone giving us a chunk of change to afford it!! Besides that dream (which really is a dream for the future since I am not interested in working while my children are small!), I am very blessed to have had most of my other dreams come true. I am in a Christian, loving home, have a dh I can't imagine not having for a dh, have the ability and support to stay at home with our six gorgeous happy kids, have a great extended family (yea, more mine than his, but that is the breaks!), etc. Sure it would be nice if things were not so tight each month, but I just am not sure what else I would change if I was suddenly "rich"!!

If we were suddenly "rich", I would want to pay off the house so that DH could stay home too. He (or we both) could get small odd jobs that we really ENJOYED having to make only enough money for monthly bills ~~ like actually farming our land, or working at craft shows, or depending on fiber sales.

Well, I consider myself rich. I guess others might not, but I feel I am. Could I use more money? Always. Do I need more money to keep my life the way I want it to? Not really. Do I want a bigger house? Yes. Do I want to pay the higher house payments, higher taxes, increased insurance premiums, etc. No, way.
So, to me, that is rich. Sort of goes with the whole "what the definition of rich" is question ember15 mentioned above.
Of course, if I had unlimited funds, we would travel a LOT more to exotic places and not have to worry about saving for it like we do now!

I would buy a house outright and a brand new van. I'd pay off all the bills and relax knowing that I was financially secure for the rest of my life.
