deemom,
send those Pamper points soon. When they did the old program, I had enough to get my DD (now 7) a F.P. jeep. They were out of them, we got it the following summer. After that I tried to order books and a movie, they were out and sent a check.

Then they stopped the program and now have the new one.

Anyway, I'd order soon, I had ordered mine July 31st and waited til the following May or June.

As for spending, I don't really have a limit for the kids. I try not to go overboard. I usually get them pjs at Kohls the day after Thanksgiving for Xmas. This year they are begging for more American Girl stuff, but my SIL is good about buying what they want, and she does $50 apiece. So I may ask her for some of it. They each want a doll though so we'll see...I have been lucky at getting sale and clearance stuff. I try to get the most asked for items, and fill in with whatever I find.

No limit per - Just a yearly budgeted amount for gifts I try to stick to (if I go over it comes out of my allowance) I just try to be judicious in what I buy and shop year-round.

I am finished with our 14 month old DS (babies are so easy!), our 6 yr. old DD wants a Gameboy advanced and our 12 yr. old Dd wants a new comforter set with pillows and a comfy chair, so they will get that and some other small things, books, stocking stuffers etc. Grandparents go all out, so I am really sticking to my list this year, it is soo hard!

We try 100.00 each kid.But the bigger they get the harder it is to stick with that budget.
Alot of the toys they want are 20.00 a piece and that adds up. Sometimes I start way ahead and start out buying one to two toys a week.

We do not have a hard and fast budget for this, but we stay around $50 per kid and try to get stuff that we know they want or would like (ie. no socks or stuff like that). Years where we've wanted to get them something larger, like the xbox, we asked dh's family to chip in on it with us (they never know what to get them anyhow, it makes it easier for them). I have a big extended family, so they get plenty of gifts. There have been years when we definitely went under that $50 mark and the kids had no clue. They just like the idea of getting stuff, even if it's coloring books and playdoh.

Well, at Christmas, Jared will be 3 and 1/2 and Mags will have just turned 2. I hope that this doesn't sound bad - but I have gotten most of their gifts at garage sales. Like I got a "baby" stroller for $2 - looks brand new. I got a car race track for like $5. Last year I got Jared a remote control train set for $8 - he still loves it. I know that I will not be able to do this forever, but, HEY, while I can you better believe that I will save the money.

So, I think that I am done with the kids and probably spent around $60 on them. I am almost done with the rest of the family too. As I have tried to shop all year at clearances etc. So I think I am pretty close to being done.

For my two preteens, I spend more on them than I do for the toddler. They generally receive three or four things each; we generally try to provide one big item each. Currently, the "big" item runs $100 or less for the preteens and under $40 for the little one.
The most expensive Christmas we had was the one where the twins received a go-cart (definitely more than the $100/ea.), but we only had two children then.
