I'm not sure if this is where it goes, but I had to share this. My mom and I went to garage sales this weekend and I bought two old glass bottles that had been dug up in Savannah, GA for $1.00 each. My mom bought eight at $1.00 each. I mainly got them b/c they were cute and they would look good in my kitchen. When we got home, my grandfather looked at them and said that he thought they were worth a lot of money. Well, I looked on ebay at what they were going for and all of them were worth $5-$15. We got excited and went back to the garage sale (this man said that he had around 3,000 bottles that he wanted to sale), and bought a total of $56 worth of these bottles (again $1.00 per glass). When we got home, we looked them all up on ebay/glass collection sites and found that two of the bottles were worth $50.00 each (one bottle almost paid for the entire collection). All of the bottles were worth more than what we paid for them. We also found an old ink well/holder that is worth around $30.00. We added everything up, and if everything sales for what the going rate is, we have a $852.00 collection!!!! We only paid $56.00!!!! Yay!! I just couldn't belive that old beer bottles and orange crush bottles were worth anything.

I'm going to hold on to some of the rarer ones for a while and sale some of the others. My mom and I are going to split the profits. I'm just in so much shock right now. I never get lucky like this!

That's awesome!
