I know that there has been a thread on this before, but I went and got groceries this afternoon @ Wal-Mart, and the milk was so expensive. For a gallon of Great Value 2% milk it was $3.56 Why is it so much? How much is milk where you live? I mainly get my milk @ Braum's because it is cheaper & tastes better! DH is going by Braum's tonight to get some milk so I will inform you how much it was.

Isn't that amazing!! If I bought that milk today I would have paid more for a gallon of milk than a gallon of gas Where do you buy your milk?

Our Safeway's has been good about milk being 2 for $5-at least it was last week. Also, our Walmart has been 2 for $5 for as long as I can remember too. If I can't make it to those stores (about 10-15 away in another town, our gas prices this week are $3.19/gallon so it doesnt always make since to drive to the next town) than I am paying $3.49 per gallon for whole milk. Even on sale, it is very pricey when you buy on average 12-15 gallons per month.

I usually buy the store brand milk at HyVee.

I do too! I love HyVee! Walmart (at least with mild and dairy products) is more expensive, and I cannot believe it! HyVee has some good specials!

Last time I bought milk last at fred myers for 2.50 a gallon. We go through only 4-5 gallons a month because no one is a real big milk drinker in my house.

DH just got back from buying milk @ Braum's & it was $2.89. A lot better than $3.56!

WalMart here was $3.56 yesterday. I about died. That is a full dollar more than six months ago...and I've heard it will continue rising.
