I do this too. It helps out SO much. And I enjoywoking on a menu. This also cuts down on the "what are we gonna have??" Syndrome.

I also collect bottles and cans and return them. Then I use the return slips plus my coupons toward my grocery bill. I luck out because I get alot of bottles from my work, but you could collect them other ways. I usually get about $5-7 from them.

I also found a spending diary really helped to see where the money was going.

When using my cosmetics - I cut the bottom off the tubes - usually at least another weeks worth hiding inside. Do this for toothpaste etc.

When cooking spaghetti & add an additional can of peeled tomatoes & this stretches it to another meal.

Saving petrol - try to make one trip & do all chores at one time.

Buy handwash liquid & add extra water to slightly dilute.

Washing hair - only wash once not twice.

Basmati rice is low GI & helps you to feel fuller for longer.

Hope these ideas help. Check out my signature file & sign up for the free newsletter for additional ideas.
