Sorry, I did not update regarding my end of May post. Since then I have had the wisdom tooth extraction from h#%! and a load of Tball games and dance recital dumped on me! Anyway, here is what I did. My rental property sold. We bought this property for cheap, dh fixed it up and so we walked away with around $8,000.00 (after taxes and all) I have paid off $2500.00 cc debt, (no cc debt at all now), $3000.00 balance on a loan, paid $1500.00 onto the Explorer principal and various other smaller debts. I put a little into savings. I reduced my monthly payments by over $300.00 (more than the rental profit was). I will keep the gas guzzler for a while. You know how it goes with cars, I owe more than what I can sell it for. Although the $1500 definately helped. I am going to pay a little extra on it with the money I have freed up, then maybe this coming spring I will be in much better shape to sell. The house I am living in has not sold yet. I am looking forward to selling and getting in a smaller house. Current home is an old Victorian we have worked on. Lots of dusting, lots of cob webs to knock down, etc.

Sounds like you spent the money wisely. We flip houses - business we started this year. So far it's going well. Was this a one time adventure for you or will you do it again?

Wow! Sounds like you've got a lot of good things going on!

Good luck selling the house. Sounds like you are making some really sound investments.

Thank you...it feels good!! This isn't the first time we've done it. We have done it several times in the past. Although, in the past we weren't very frugal with the proceeds. You know the "we have all this money...all at once!!!!!yipee!!" syndrome. This was our wisest finale I would have to say. It will also be the last one we do for several years. DH is working a lot of extra hours with a new position at work. We've just gotten stressed and burnt out after doing it most of our married life. Good luck to you in starting your own business!
