Did all of you have a good coupon day? I sure did, and I bought 3 papers to boot. I will get a shopping list together tomorrow & hit the stores. Do any of you shop @ HEB? If so what are you planning for dinner this week?

I was at my moms house yesterday & showed her my coupon book, she was amazed. You see I just got into this about a month ago (clipping coupons) and now I have a binder with baseball card holders all nice & divided up into several different areas. She said she was proud of me! I told her that it really is the way to go, all these years we have been throwing money away for nothing! Anyway, I now look forward to Sunday, I get all my stuff together clip away, it is very relaxing for me.

I also just wanted to say how awesome you gals are, I am enjoying this site more than any other now days & thank each of you for sharing your ideas & thoughts.

I have a lot of catagoreis (and seperate them with tabbed page dividers) Baking, beverages, boxed dinners & sides, Breads & rolls, breakfast, candy, canned, chips & snacks, cleaning & laundry, coffee/tea, cookies, dairy, dressing/marinades/sauces, fridge/freezer, household/misc, makeup/facecare, medecine/vitamins, paper/foil/wraps, personal care, pet.

I tried the little check organizers, but it was too broad for me to be an effective shopper, too much time digging around in it. This seems to be working pretty well, on the yellow page divider, I can list exactly what is in that catagory.

Thanks! Do you take the whole binder with you to the store each time. or just the coupons you need for that trip? What works best for you.

Yea, I have 99% of the ones I need on an envelope with shopping list printed on it, but I have the binder in my tote bag in case there is something else we need. I am not so good with lists & menu planning yet, but I'm working on it.

Thanks makes me want to run out to the store and buy a binder. I have been using the accordian style coupon book and it so difficult fumbling through and I always have coupons I don't know I have until they are expired.

I went to a coupon queen siminar at my local library, she had 2 binders going! I tried it but didnt seem to be able to keep up the organising of it! Good for you. I did my whole week shopping yesterday for $40.00 combing coupons and sales! I think thats good for a family of 4!
