I just read this in my local paper. I didn't have a chance to post yet.

I actually plan on working PT and going back to school for Masters.

I will continue to bring in casual income like I do now but I might kick it up a notch when DD goes to 1st grade. However, there is no way I'll work in such a way that will require that we put her into daycare or anything. We had to do that with the first round of children we raised and I don't want to do that again with DD.

No, not unless something happeneds where I absolutely have to. I actually considered in this past January. There was an awesome job opportunity and I pretty much knew I could have it if I wanted, great money and great benefits. But, the more I thought about my kids, the more I couldn't do it. I would miss every vacation with them and what about summer vacation. I don't want to sent them to a sitter for the whole summer. I love my time with my boys and feel blessed that I can be here with them and for them.

you bet, we will never save enough to put the kids through College if I don't provide a 2nd income. For us we would have my whole salery to save since we are used to living off of one income.

Well, I don't know if I ever could actually be considered a SAHM since I usually have at least one part time job! I would, however, take a full time job in a minute if it pays enough to make it worth my time. Otherwise I will just keep plucking away with various part time jobs.

I homeschool, so that option is out.

I consider myself retired from the workforce for now.

Right now I am part time at work, working evenings and weekend days. When ALL the kids are in school, and I have graduated college (right now that's in 5 years) I will do something M-F within the day time. That has always been my plan.

I would like to do something once Ian gets into school, but probably only part time. I would still like to be able to be involved in their classrooms & volunteer at school. Plus, I think it is important to be here when they get home from school, so I'd have to find something pretty flexible to allow all that!

I am...but I am going to go to nursing school first. :happy dance:

I worked in TV for 9 years, but now that I've been out of the business for 4 years, I have no desire to go back--too stressful. It makes me ill to think of all the money I spent for my journalism/broadcasting degrees to not use them but it just won't work for our family anymore.
