We're generally paycheck to paycheck; although, currently we are a little beyond our means. Murphy (according to Dave Ramsey) has recently visited several times and wiped out our emergency fund plus some. Things are starting to improve though.

We are getting there. At this point we are still paycheck t paycheck. By this time next year, I'm hoping to be below our means. I can't imagine the feeling of NOT stressing over money.

I hear you on the Stressing Over Money ....

I swear Its Impossible ......

We Should Be Nowhere Near Worrying about money - If you Look at our Annual income...
Still WTH???

I really can't Figure this Get ahead thing out with Kids and One Income....

No matter What .... Something Always comes up - That Requires money,,,,

Like if we Live way Below our means For 3 Months and are Doing well....

Then BAM - Our house and Car Both Need major work....
Or we're hit with a Huge Dental or medical bill....

So there goes that extra Cusion of cash ....

I enjoy Spending money on a Regular basis- I will admit I am trying so hard to Knock that out.
Still I don't Spend thousands or anything - And I Do Cut back on certain things in General So I feel like my shopping habits shouldn't Put that much strain on our finances - and We Rarely use Credit ....

It just seems like there will Never be a Safe Worry free PLace until All the kids are grown and we have 2 Good incomes.

We may not always have a lot left over, but for the past few months we have been making it a priorty to stash some money away, while paying of cc bills.

We live below our means, but my goal is to live even farther below our means.

I chose the 3rd option, but we don't have a lot left over each month. I am, however, able to put anywhere from $100-$200 in savings each month. Sometimes more. That said, it has ony been in the last 6 months that we have been able to do that. It has taken a lot of discipline to be sure to focus on our savings and to put my wants for the house or kids on the backburner. I always make sure that we have what we need, but I have also been one to try to take care of the "wants", too. Now that is cut down, so we are able to save more.

We do not live paycheck to paycheck, but after reading Dave Ramsey's book, we are not saving our money where we should be. Tonight I will be looking into money market accounts and re-figuring the budget to put 15% into retirement. We have worked REALLY hard and currently only pay monthly expenses, plus our mortgage and a HEL. I am hopeful that our HEL will be paid off by the end of the year.

We definitely live paycheck to paycheck. It seems whenever we get some money ahead, a major bill comes up like a major appliance breaks and needs replacing, or the car needs a repair or the kids have a big expense at school etc. We are trying to get out of debt and if we could pay off credit cards we would definitely be ahead and able to save more. We just keep plugging along.

Did Dave Ramsey, now we teach it. It works and we see LOTS of families beginning to live within their paycheck, getting out of debt and building savings. It is exciting!
