I'm starting a job (on-call positon). The reason I got a job was to help w/ bills (dh's 40 wk. check leaves us about $100 in the hole every month), home improvements (projects we started and haven't finished ), and to pay down debt. I'm wondering how I should divide it? I was thinking an equal amt. between all 3 categories. I don't want the extra income to leak into other areas like entertainment, eating out, clothes, etc. I want us to be more financially stable than we were and not have this time away from my kids be a waste. Any ideas?

I would probably divide it equally or just put it in a separate account and put it toward which category it is needed most in at that time. Try to save up the difference for an emergency fund.
