I handle everything financial. My dh had to handle the details for the last two houses we have purchased because we were living in different states when he changed jobs. At that point he decided he really would rather make the money and let me spend it. He stays in the loop on the details, but prefers not to be in charge of the details. Funny thing though, he controls a multimillion dollar budget for work.

first he takes tithes out of his money...we both go shopping on Saturday together...we have done this now for almost 15 yrs... he keeps out enough money for his work week and then hands over the rest for bills to be paid....I never have the money when we shop...I let him pay for everything...lol...if there are things he wants he gets them with out asking and if there are things I want I get....as long as the bills are paid and our fridge and cabinets are full we dont care what is spent ...most of the time........we dont buy alot for ourselves...I buy for my girls all the time...

I used to do it all. Then about a year ago DH started paying the bills. I would say that we do this together. He prints out a monthly budget & pays the bills now-I do some still. I do the grocery shopping and put money away for vacation, birthdays & Christmas. We try to do this together.

DH wouldn't have a clue how to pay a bill, and hes the smarter of the two of us, he just never has and don't care to. I used to be good at hoarding money and living frugal but he has spoiled me, or the kids more I would say. But we usually make all big decisions together. I ask before I buy certain things except sometimes clothes, shoes and scrappping stuff I hide in a closet when I get home .

Oh My gosh I am so Glad I finnally found some women who are like me

Dh Makes it - I spend it......

I handle EVERYTHING - Dh gets a weekly allowance.

I too hide things ( in my car ) so he doesn't Question me

He Knows that I am capable Of handaling it all - and that is the One thing he Knows I despise - Is when He Looks at receipts or he Asks me what I Do with all the Money.

I mean he Knows all the Bills are paid , He knows we have minimal debt that Gets paid Off every year With his Year End Bonus - He knows everyone has Clothes , medical care and Full Bellys He also Knows I Get my Nails Done every few Weeks, etc. etc.

Its not like he'd look at the Books and Fall over From Shock.

I just feel I NEED to be in control - since I run the Household --and I do do Everything Around here .... I Like to Have piece of mind - Knowing What is Going on

Dh does everything, I give him part of my paycheck and he puts it with his to pay the bills. We don't have a joint account. I pay groceries, rx, doctor copays, and other stuff from my check. he has nothing to do with that. I would highly NOT RECOMMEND our system. I have no clue what is going on.

I do everything financial, my husband is not interested. I sometimes feel like I am not doing a good enough job and saving enough for retirement like we should. My husband doesn't even want to know about the finances; I just wish he'd show more interest and maybe offer some input and make things better than I am doing alone.

Wow, I guess we are in the minority....my DH does just about everything....I try to help him and he doesn't mind me helping him...but he definately stays on top of it more than I do!!

But really we do everything together...like others have said.

My dh is the one who actually sits dow and pays the bills. Large decisions regarding money are obviously done together. But I do all the shopping. But I answered dh since he actually writes checks for the bills.

Dh used to be in charge but when I started staying home I slowly took it over. No big deal I am home and pay most everything online.
