I guess I'm more in charge of the day to day stuff. I pay the bills and do the shopping etc. But HE balances the check book and manages our investments etc. So he knows what's what too. It seems to work well for us. We don't really have a budget perse--so no allowances or giving of money each week. We're usually pretty frugal in that regard (except lately, I've been bad about getting fast food).

I do everything...he's never been very interested in doing any of it. I even fill out our taxes by myself every year. Quite a bit I wish that he would atleast know what the bills are for the month so that he understands why we don't have a lot of money in our checking at certain times. He's certainly the more careless though of the two of us when it depends on getting the bills paid on time.

I pretty much take care of all the bills. That is, I do all the bill paying for regular bills and have even made some decisions on whether to buy XX now or later (when my husband was deployed and I couldn't ask him about it) He's never questioned me except to ask how much will be left after the bills are paid which usually isn't much! I do the best I can but I know I could be doing better at it.

We both are repsonsible for the budget, however dh has "control" over it in the sense he brings home the bacon, establishes a budget and I stick to it! LOL

I pay the bills online and send the checks in when a bill neesd to be paid ~ does that count? LOL

My dh handles everything having to do with the finances. We talk about big things, but I trust everything to him. I handle all the house things, and most of the kids things. Only problem with this is that I wouldn't know what we have if anything were to happen to him. He has everything organized, but still. We still have that to work out. I am very happy with having it this way though.

I am a stay at home mom. My girls are 17 and 12. I am so glad that I was able to stay home and raise them myself. It has made all the difference in the world! Just recently I returned to school and graduated from college. I will start interviewing for positions in September. Wish me luck - I have been out of the work force for 17 years. We have two cats - Stella and Jasmine and guinea pig named Guinevere. My husband handles the finances and I'm glad.

I handle our finances. Like some of the other posts, my dh is not that interested in it. I do try to keep him updated on certain things, and he'll generally ask if we have enough money for something beforehand.
