I just completed the initial screening for this and got an email back saying they want me to work for them. I would also like to know a little bit more about it from someone that works for them before I commit to it. Thanks in advance for the info!!

Have you checked out WAHM.com The Online Magazine for Work at Home Moms ? It's a really good community with lots of leads and ideas. I agree with everyone here that most times work at home jobs are scams. Unless your selling something (Avon, Pampered Chef, etc). Also, most people who work from home worked for a company outside of the home and they were able to then do that job from home. That's what I did, then my company was bought.

I did home daycare for a few months, but it's just not reliable enough for us, so I'll be back to work by Nov. 1. But my old boss from my old job is hiring me as a contract worker from home. So my advice would be to see if you can find a local company that needs some sort of admin support and see if they would allow you to work from home.

Good luck!

You should take a look at some companies! Find something that you like..
I agree. I never thought I would do something like this but I have been amazed. I love that I don't always have to do parties we have other ways to share the product with people. I have to admit just like a lot of other people who work from home it is hard to stay motivated. You have to make some business hours or it is too easy to not get anything done. Good luck!

I also never thought I would do direct sales. With the company I am in now, I make 50% of what I sell and I make a 10, 10, 10 commission from any downline I may get in the future. I don't have to meet any certain quota or have any inventory on hand. My husband was so skeptical at first, but now he loves it. He actually went to one of the shows I did last week and said, "Wow, that was so easy and you come home with all that money in just an hour" It has really helped us out in a pinch. I am gone one night a week and make $200 /night average. Easy money. Don't rule out direct sales. If I can do it, anyone can!!

I work from home, but my office is in Atlanta, GA and I used to work in the home office many years ago, so it's just telecommuting all the time.

I too also have a side business in netwrok marketing. It's a video email company, really neat and it's new so lots of opportunity. I just started so can't speak numbers of anything, but my dad got me into it and he has already made a profit so my fingers are crossed as well.

I started an email newsletter that write tips for real estate investors. At first I just shared some tips from my experience & had great responses. Then some local real estate services approached me to advertise in it. I didn't want my email to be spam, so I told them that I would interview them instead, sharing their tips then distribute it to my email list (about 1500 reader then) for them, for a fee, of course.

So, here I am, with no background of writing and English as my second language, :P I become a self-made editor. However, I always had a thing about knowing what people want to read... they want simple & pratical stuff with some humor, not lecture, spam, or sales pitch, etc. And I was generate good results for my clients.

In 9 months, my reader list has grown to 5461 among 50 states and canada. I now publish email newsletter weekly or so, each charges $350 and costs me about 5-6 hours. Then host their article on our web site for $35 mo. I do have to pay the hosting fee for our server and email services.

I also partner with our local non-profit real estate group to interview their speakers for free and they would link my articles on their web site (because they like it too). I have brought them a lot of members and they have brought me many new readers and service venders (to be promoted). We are both happy.

Funny thing is, many people started to copy my business model. I mean, they tried and I was worried. But writing style is hard to duplicate because the personality would reflect on what they write. And my business wasn't making a 'killing' and it can't substain a full time income. So they eventually fade away. Oh well.

It's a unique business, sort of happen by accident. It began by mere good heart of sharing my landlording tips. However, it is my baby, a home-business I grow from the ground up. I had to figure many things out with no books teaching me how. I want to be unique and non-duplicatable.. I guess I am not very competitive and this is a better way for me.

I work for West at home.. which someone already mentioned. I make upwards to $12 an hour. Its awesome for me. You have to have a quiet backgorund to do it.. so I do it when my kids are sleeping. But its been awesome for suplemental income. They just changed to employee status.. meaning you arent a contractor. They take taxes out now. Which is fine by me. I work about 15 hours a week. You schedule your own shifts and everything. Its a pain going through the application process and training.. but once thats over.. its bank.
