I am so excited. DH is liking it too and agreed to follow his steps. I'm just a little disappointed that it came with an Audio CD's instead of DVD's. I just don't have time to listen with a toddler around and besides my CD player broke long time ago I want to get the Homestudy Plus but I'm waiting for the price to go down. I look in Amazon but they don't sell any. I don't know why For those who have this kit do you guys like it? DH went to one seminar and he said he listened to the Audio CD and he told me he just talks too much and made him fall asleep.

A while back I thought I ordered a book about finances from Joyce Meyer, but I had actually ordered audio cd's. At first I was disappointed, but I listened to it off my computer and I really like it now. I just make some chai tea and relax, listen, and take notes. It's also nice because I can pause it and it shows different chapters so I can remember where I am if I don't have time to listen to the whole thing.

I just finished reading one of Dave Ramsey's books. I really like it. I actually opened a savings acct today. It feels so good to make a step in the right direction.

Well, I hope you end up enjoying your cd's too.

You'll love the CD's. Before I took FPU I would listen to them in my car on the way to work. It helped me be prepraed before the class started. I hope you like the class when you take it. It has helped me out alot. I paid off my debt(except for the house) and have $2000 in an emergency fund in 13 weeks. I didn't have alot of debt to start out with. I glad that I have an emergency fund. My son's dad quit his job over 3 months ago, I had to pick my son up on my health insurance-whcih is $100 a monthand plus some other expenses that I'm currently paying. Currently my emergency fund is my living fund. If I didn't have that I might be using credit cards. I don't have any to use. Good luck in becoming debt free!!!!!!!!

You can play a CD on a DVD player - try that. Believe me, he is humorous enough to keep your attention.

The package with the DVD's is the more expensive one, unfortunately. I do like the CD's though. We listen to them in the car often. He also has a radio show we listen to.
Good luck! We paid off all of our credit cards and are now working on our truck. We doubled our payment last month and this month, it should be doubled too! Once we get it paid off, we will only have the house.

any suggestions on where I can get Dave Ramseys books or cds? They are all checked out at our local library and we are on a waiting list for them. I don't want to spend a;ot of $$ to get it either.
thanks from a newbie!

I got mine from my church. They were offering a seminar about Dave Ramsey's stuff. Fortunately they have one extra kit so they gave it to me for free. I never got a chance to go to the seminar though but DH did.

I got mine on Ebay and it was cheaper than buying it at the bookstore. If you sell on Ebay you can use your paypal bucks to buy it- that's what I did. I just got it today! It is very hard for me to figure out how we will pay off debt when we don't have a whole lot coming in......I guess I will read and find out!

I normally buy books in Amazon (Used or New) that's where all my books about finances came from. They are cheap too.
