Most definitely I would...I have no family around me...not many left alive anyway...and the ones that are left are almost useless! My husbands family is great...but...we're not connected enough (I don't think, he may say otherwise even thought its true). I would take into consideration the timing and duration of the new position though as far as schooling goes. I want my kids to stay in the same school district from the very beginning to the very end. It would be great to experience life in a different part of the states. Coming back to our hometown would ALWAYS remain an option though!

If I was married, I would probably do it. Being a single parent, no I doubt that I would unless I had someone who would also move to the same area. My kids are quite attached to my parents and grandma but we could visit them when needed.

No way! My husband has been offered job transfers that would result in higher pay and has turned them down. He won't even travel more than once a quarter and only for a couple nights. Thankfully he has found places to work that value his contribution enough to accept his stipulations. He

I am very, very close to my family (my entire extended family is here- no one leaves ) and l value the benefits of living here too much. I have visited many other places and always enjoy coming home.

For a seven figure salary we MIGHT consider it on a temporary basis. A lot of our friends are here due to job transfers and career advancement and I don't think it's bad, it's just not for us.

Well, yes we would, we've done it before. We don't live near our family right now.

I was about to type I would in a heartbeat and then I thought about my kids and grandkids. I would be so sad if I didn't get to see them as often as I do now.

I would if it were enough money to bring my kids and grandkids - multi millions

Yes.

We have friends and family scattered all across the USA and some parts of the world so it is pretty difficult for us to be too far away from any of them - or to be close to all of them. With double the income, DD and I could do an awful lot of visitin'.

nope! money really doesn't play a huge factor in our lives (probably because we don't have any...lol) family is what is important to us.

**I will add the clause that if all of our family would go with us, we would move.

I would probably say no. We love the community we are in right now. We live about 45 minutes away from my parents & 2 hours away from my in-laws. I really want my kids to grow up in the same town & go to school with the same kids that they have known since kindergarten. Maybe I am just weird like that, or maybe it's because my dad was in the army & I hated moving & leaving all of my friends.

We probably would. We've even talked about it. Right now we live near my mother and brother's family. Chances are my mother would go with us and if the timing was right my brother might as well!

We love our small community but there would be advantages to living near things (museums, airports, etc) that do have their advantages.
