It is so awesome. We received so many donations for our Girl Scout troop. We needed decorations for a ceremony. It was so great. I was fortunate to get two desks, so now me and my kids have one. I just got some great fabric. Plus the kids received a bunch of books. It is just to great. Plus all the stuff I don't need finds a home and not the dumpster.
I belong to a couple of different groups and there are several people out there that just have the gimmies. I just delete and move on. I am ready to help someone who truly needs something otherwise get a job or even a second one if need be. People ask for brand new computers, cell phones, even cars. The funny thing is they usually get it unless they lie about the post. I guess I am just not bold enough to ask for stuff like that.
Regardless it is a great thing.

I just started to Freecycle. From what I can tell it is great. An easy way to get rid of stuff I no longer want or need without leaving the house which great for a mom like myself. The only bad thing is when someone says they will come pick something up at a certain time and you wait for them and they never show up, but it is also another option to get some free stuff. Plus you can list stuff that you are looking for and people can respond.

I've been freecycling for a month or two. Our group seems a little "highschoolish" too. Seems to be a fair amount of bickering. I try to ignore it. Our tv died a couple of weeks ago and we picked up someones old console tv until we can afford a new one. I've not posted a whole lot--I try to keep things fairly decluttered.
