Nope, you use one case. The 12 months are each one piece of paper, you stack them all together in order and slide them in place, where the cd lyric book goes. When they're done with one month, they pull out the stack of pages, and put the current month's page to the back, then slide them back into place and stand the case back up. There were really good instructions posted here on how to switch the case parts around to make it stand up on its own.

We have pine trees in our yard so we gather the nicer looking pine cones and for ornaments we spray paint them silver and include a "legend of the silver pine cone" that can be found on the internet. Add a ribbon to the top and it's an inexpensive ornament and nice gift for grandparents etc from the kids.
Also, popscicle ornaments or icicles. For ornaments, glue the sticks in a square for a picture frame type, or criss-cross for a snowflake or use one stick for the icicle. You can paint them, use them plain or buy them already colored. Then let the kids glue on sequins, pom pons, glitter, buttons - whatever you have. We write their names and the year on the back. Nice keepsakes.
Another ornament is using those CD's that come in the mail etc. Glue two together, pretty sides out with some lace around the edge and a ribbon loop to hang, cut a picture in a circle large enough to cover the "hole". You can write on them with a sharpie, glue a snowflake or other pretty to the other side to cover the hole there.
For bird lovers - the above mentioned pinecones can be smeared with peanut butter and rolled in bird seed.
Larger pinecones can be painted green and put in small clay pots. Decorate like small trees - make nice place markers or small gifts.
Baby food jars with bits of tissue paper decoupaged to the inside, add a tea lite - inexpensive candle holder. Tie a ribbon around the lip adds a nice touch. Watered down white glue applied with sponge brush makes putting the tissue paper in there a bit easier. You can add confetti or glitter also, just make sure they go on before the tissue as you are working in reverse on the inside of the jar.
The jar gift mixes are easy and quick. You can do a google search for recipes.
Chex mix or other snack mix in a decorated coffee can makes a nice gift as well.
I'm sure there is more but my children and calling for Mommy. Feel free to email me with questions. I have tons more ideas and more than willing to share.

I went out and got some white pillow cases and printable iron on sheets for pictures, etc. I am going to print out their names and a picture to put on each pillow case. I also bought lots of large Christmas books last year for a $1 each at BDalton bookstore on clearance. I will put one in each pillowcase for all the kids in my daycare. I am also printing some of their full body pictures, then gluing them to magnets/magnet sheets for gifts. You can buy the magnet sheets or just use whatever you may have or get some from some business'. Its easy and very cute on the fridge when done!

I am going to make pre made scrap books for both of my sisters. I am going to get an album and decorate each page for them and all they have to do is add thier own pictures. They both love my scrapbooks and are always asking me to do one for them.

I have a lot of recipes for layered mixes. This would make a nice inexpensive gift for ladies or older girls. I have things like coffee cake, bar cookies, buttermilk dressing, soup mixes, red beans and rice, cornbread, fudge and more. These are placed by layers in a jar. You can decorate the lid and add some festive ribbon or rafia. Thats what Im giving the women for Christmas along with some homemade bath salts. E-mail me if youd like any recipes!
