I truly appreciate these stories. Sometimes with a mountian of bills in one hand and your last dollar in the other, it is hard to stay inspired. THANKS! One day, I will post what we paid off.

Mary Hunts plan and larry burketts plan are both great plans and I combined the two and have followed them for years. Their books are terrific. larry died of course but his plan still is a great one. Mary Hunt is awsome. She has a great web site too. Debt-Proof Living Home but you have to be a member to get to parts of it. I have been a member for years. IT is well worth it and you can sign up for daily emails from her daily email that is terrific too. Everyday Cheapskate - Home I think i have it right.

Keep up the good job ladies. My goal is to get this mortgage paid off. It is a morgage we can afford but I would still like to get it paid off. We were in a house we had built and lived in it a year and it was just to much so we sold it and bought a fixer upper and we can afford it and we love it. But taxes on the coast are expensive and we live on the coast of nc. But we love it here.

Well we are in a mountain of debt with auto loans, cc's, and student loans. I am hoping to post a success story one day soon on here. All of you are a wonderful inspiration to people like me just starting out trying to use a real budget and being frugal.

Well, this morning I was able to payoff one of my smallest CC's. It was a $400 credit card, but still it is now gone. I know I can honestly say our income has not increased at all and the only way that I was able to even do this in about a month's time is because of MS. I have become more aware of what I am spending, menu planning, coupon clipping, etc. Thank you MS!! I have a lot more to accomplish but am pleased with the dent I have made.

I did the same! And, what a difference it made! Immediately the electric bill fell by 2/3's as did the grocery bill. I'd never had a creditor phone my house until I married my ex. I've not had one call my house since I divorced him!

By February or March, we plan on having all of our credit cards paid off. That includes using most of my husband's bonus. We will then work really hard to have our home equity loan paid off by the end of 2010

It been a little over a year since I posted here. Since then we did pay off our cc's and come Aug 2009 fingers cross the bank loan will be paid. I have a hospital bill I'm working on too.
