My son doesn't like the vent on in his room cuz he says it gets too cold, but i think it's warm in there w/o it, so at least this would keep some heat out! I'm going to search our freebies for the link!

One word of warning: I've read a few times not to put the film on double paned windows. Can't remember exactly why, if it's condensation or not. You may want to check it out - you can probably google it - before investing if you're double paned.

Is it dark or just see through like normal or what?!?! I have huge windows throughout my house, and it is AWFUL in the afternoons. I still want to be able to see through them, though!

Try to get the sample pack, and you can see how they would look on your windows. The one we picked makes the windows a little darker, but it's not very noticeable.

When my parents put it on their front door, they only wanted people NOT to be able to see IN. They could still see out just fine. Like I said, though, it's possible that they used something a little different. I just know it was the same brand.

I'm going to check into it, too. Wyndser's room is the only room that doesn't stay comfortable, so I need to do something for her definitely. If it works for her, I'd do it all over the house to save money.

Has anyone else tried to hang this themselves? Can you remove it if/when we mess up? I had friends who had this done professionally and were thrilled with the results- but it cost them like $700 to get an entire side of their house done. To them, it was worth it because it reduced their cooling/heating bills substantially- but I'd rather do it myself if I can get the same results.

Thank you!
