Not to pay off debt, but just because I hate "wasting" money:
- stopped paying the $5.95 monthly fee for the long-distance plan I was using. We don't use a lot of long distance, so we got the plan with no monthly fee but a higher per-minute rate.
- started using Onesuite's long distance plan
- tried out some generic products, kept using the ones that were acceptable
- bought a few things refurbished instead of new, like the Tracfone
- put in a programmable thermostat and raised/lowered the temperature when we're gone or in bed
- switched checking plans from the measly 0.1% interest plan to the account with free checks
- coupons (when possible)
- started a price book, although it's a bit outdated right now
- I use free versions of some software (OpenOffice instead of MS Office, for example)
- paid my ISP bill annually to save 10% or so
That's all I can come up with right now, but there are more
