I have no idea about ours either. But we don't have any loans, etc. and won't be getting a new mortgage anytime soon, so I guess I just don't ever worry about it. If someone knows how to find out FREE, I might do that just out of curiosity.

I have never had a problem with credit so I have never checked it. I should though.

I don't know exactly (hiding). We've always had good credit so it's never been an issue. However, I know they say to check it frequently for discrepancies - this is a good reminder.

You can check it for free once a year at
Experian.com
Equifax.com
Transunion.com

So essentially, you can get it for free 3x a year if you use each company once.

This is true. As long as she uses it and pays at least the minimum ON TIME every month, and isn't completely maxed out, her score should be pretty good. The more activity the better, as long as you don't miss payments and aren't late.

ETA: just went on the credit report website, to find my free credit score. It WILL NOT give you your actual score for free, BTW, but I did find out that my credit report is flawless. No negative items, and a ton of positive, so that's good for us! Woohoo for good credit....

Yes, we know. It is important to be aware of it, I think.

No...not exactly. I know it's good, but I have no idea what the score is.

Nope! I had never even hear of such a thing until a couple of months ago when I started checking out frugal/debt sites! Ours must be o.k because we've never had any trouble getting loans or credit.

I believe you can check your credit report for free here but if you want your credit score then you have to pay a few dollars for it (at least that's what I've been having to do).
