If you use Quicken, how far do you itemize?

do you itemize your grocer and trips to target? If so, how far do you break it down? i.e. food, non-food, or cereal/vegetable?

I have used Quicken for the last 9 years or so. I havent itemized everything though. A couple years ago, I started itemizing taxes. Now that I am trying to be frugal, I am thinking about itemizing EVERYthing. May take time but it would be nice to see how much I am wasting on DVDs, candy, etc. even sales tax would be fascinating to know.

I itemize things a bit, but it takes extra time so I try to limit the categories. I don't itemize groceries, although there's a separate category for formula and baby food (but since DS is getting older, that'll be used less and less). On the other hand, "Entertainment" is broken down into many categories - DVDs, books, movie tickets, etc.

Haven't thought about putting sales tax as a separate line item, but I sometimes portion it out into the various categories when I split a transaction.
