sold old jewelry that they don't want anymore. I have some old jewelry (good quality) that I would like to get rid of because it's just taking up space and I don't really like it anymore. Has anyone ever done this. I could use the extra money, but it's not an emergency situation. Any advice would be appreciated.

I've done it, I've gone to pawn shops. It was pretty simple, they make an offer, you either accept, or decline. Sometmes they recommend other places if they can't use what you have.

I just sold a few costume pieces (used) on e-bay. They didn't bring in very much, though.

The pieces I have are nice gold jewelry, but I wasn't sure if I should try a pawn shop, they're usually in really bad neighborhoods here.
