Hey! I'm a stay-at-home mom of one! I work part-time doing office-work for my father and am going to start working a couple days a week at a bakery my sister works at (I'm filling in for her until she comes back from college this Christmas). However, I'm always looking for legit. ways to work from home!

I don't want to do any of that pyramid crap...any kind of marketing scheme. I also don't like those places that say..."Work from home online...oh yeah...we require a small $30 deposit." I'm always afraid those are scams. But there has to be some ways to use the internet and earn money from home. I mean...heck....I could work anytime after 9pm...after my daughter is down for the night and I finish up any chores. I can also work during her naps.

So if anyone has any ideas of information, I sure would appreciate it!

You could do daycare, take in a family or something. That would give your child some time with other kids too. See if any daycares around your area would like a helper, that would not be work at home but it might be extra money and you could bring your child with you. I worked from home for a company called Service 800, their website is Service 800 Customer Satisfaction Surveys : Telephone Surveys or Web Surveys if you want to take a look. Also I have heard of a company a few other women on this board have worked for is www.workathomeagents.com. You could look at them also. Or keep you eye out in your local paper. Every now and again I see ads for people to work from home. I wish you luck.

I work from home with LiveOps as a teleservices operator: LiveOps - Networking the World's Work, On Demand Call Center, Work at Home Agent, Outsourcing Call Center Solution, Call Center Infrastructure, Contact Center Solution, Distributed Contact Center

You do have to pay for the background check which is about $30 but it is all legit.

Thanx! These are definitely things I'm going to look into! Mean time, if anyone else has any other ideas...I'm open to whatever! (Well..within moral and legal bounds of course =)

Jennifer, you know when you see an infommercial and they flash an 800 number up on the screen? If you call, you might get a LiveOps agent (or a West agent, or someone in a call center). So the products are varied. Some are product sales calls. Some calls are information collection for lead generation (such as if you call asking for a brochure, I would gather your name and address so it can be sent). LiveOps has also worked with large charities to collect financial donations. Some of these companies are also branching out to other industries such as taking fast food orders.

Some of the products are considered 'adult'. As an agent you can opt-out of taking adult calls.

You only get paid for your actual talk-time, about 25 cents a minute, depending on the type of call. A decent hourly earnings is about $8/hr which isn't great BUT it is wonderful for part-time that you can work whenever you want and you don't have to leave your kids at daycare or commute.

And yes, there are some 'teleservices' jobs out there that are purely adult in nature - I'm sure you can imagine what kind of calls those would be. LiveOps DOES NOT do those kinds of calls, however, if anyone is interested in that kind of work, it is available through other agencies. I hear the average pay for those kinds of calls is $15/hr.

I work full time outside of the home, but I also work part time from home selling Tupperware. I know it sounds like marketing, but I do NOT host parties outside of my home. Let me repeat I do NOT host parties outside of my home, yet I make a pretty good part time income. With Tupperware you get your own website and you can sell right from there. I do other things too, if you are interested in hearing more email me!
I know what it's like wanting to work from home and be home with the kids...I have 2 under 2, so my "home time" is very valuable right now!
thanks!
