and have a plastic bouncy ball and a toy gun to show for it! We went to the fair over the weekend and I spent $50 .. We went out to eat beforehand so that we wouldn't be suckered into spending on food there, but somewhere I spent the money!

Here is where it went:
$14 - food
$21 - admission
$6 - games (the ball and toy gun)
$4 - lemonade
$5 - dippin dots

It makes me sick to my stomach!

ok thats funny becuase my sister just went to the mn state fair yesterday and spent 300.00 admission for 4 food rides gifts lol so i think your 50 bucks is great!

we went to a festival and took 100.00 and came home with 210.00 yep fil put money in my kids pockets so we came home some how with more than we took. tried to give it back but he won't take it. he said buy the kids stuff for winter. so we got some pj's and dd needed a winter coat yet... so we made money at our festival.

You know whenever you go somewhere with the kids this happens. I think we all want them to enjoy these little pleasures in life so we feel bad if we don't get them a treat even if they've already eaten.

I believe it! Going to the fair can cost you. It's highway robbery!

Are you SURE that's all you have to show for it? No good memories? No happy kid's faces, and knowing that they are going to remember how much fun they had for a long time? No reward from spending time as a family? Sometimes those things are worth splurging on now and again.
