# 2 b/c then I'd have no stress and could concentrate more on my weight (or I could afford to hire a personal trainer!)

Definitely #2!!! If I had no debt I could afford to join a gym if I wanted to and buy expensive, good for you food!!! I could care less about my hair!! Though if I had no debt, I could get it "done" whenever I wanted and not have to contemplate whether I could afford a perm or not.

#2. I would say that 80% of the arguements that dh and I have are over money. So that would help in the long run strengthen our relationship and add less stress which would make me stop emotional eating.

Well, diets work well, and I like doing my hair, so I will go with debt free---I would be so happy to be debt free even if I had bad hair and big thighs!!

Absolutely #2!! As a few others have said, if we were debt free, I could afford to not work, go to a gym or at least have the time and money to hire a sitter for the kids while I exercise, AND buy really healthy foods. (Not that we buy crap now, but we could afford BETTER) Plus, being debt free would be such a huge stress relief which = healthier lifestyle.

#2 - with no mortgage I could afford to quit my job and possibly have more time to exercise and eat healthier.

I want all three!! But #2 would be the most practical, in particular if it worked that no matter what I bouht (hair cuts, nice clothes, etc) that I'd still be debt free!

I would pick #2... although, I would want to buy a stick built home first.

Well, my parents have been mortgage free for at least 30 years, and my mom is about 100 pounds overweight. I don't think the mortgage free = weight management plan really works, lol.

I would pick #1 hands down. I'm not even overweight (due to the amount I jog and watch what I eat), but I would LOVE to not have to do those things without having to worry about getting fat.
