This came up at church, of all places, today and I thought I would make it into a poll. I am curious about the outcome. . . Here is the schenario:

You are walking through the grocery store parking lot and see something on the ground. Would you pick it up? (It is safe to do so.) What is the LOWEST denomination you would bother picking up?

I'll pick up any amount. My FIL always said "worry about the pennies and the dollars will take care of themselves" & he taught his children and grandchildren to look down at the ground. My nephew found $90 one day doing this and nobody claimed it so he got to keep it.

My DD looks down alot and she checks the pay phones & other machines for loose change.

For me I feel like I always see a penny on the ground somewhere, I just don't pick them up. I suppose if I picked it up everything I saw one, then sure eventually it would add up- but a nickle is the lowest...if I am going to bother bending over RIGHT NOW it better be worth more than one cent...Just my opinion!

I pick up pennies. Whenever I go out after I get home I try to go through my change andtake out the quarters and pennies. The pennies get put into a bank in my babys room (she's too young to notice anyways) & the quarters I set aside for myself for small emergencies like no money but needing diapers.

I usually only pick up a penny if it's heads up and put it in my shoe...not sure where I got this from...Grandma? Of course, if it was more than 1 penny, and at least one of them were heads up, I would pick them all up. Does one heads up clustered with ones that are heads down cancel the bad luck (heads down)

I always look on the ground, when I'm walking, for loose change. I don't care what it is! A penny is better in my pocket than on the ground !

Considering I'm huge and round and I wet myself bending over, it would have to be at least a quarter and because I' stick out so far the chances of me seeing anything on the ground are slim to none lol.
