I love it to If you are on it long enough you get trade buddies. They are people you frequently give stuff to and you end up being the first person they consider. I have received tons on great stuff: a baby swing, baby play gym, baby clothes, clothes for my oldest DD, toys, decor and much more. I also give away things as well

I love it too

I never get anything. There seem to be people in m area that spend all day sitting and waiting for emails to be sent out and snap up the stuff instantly. Even if I email less than 5 minutes after a post is made, never get it.

Same here. I have stopped visiting the two sites that are for my area because I got tired of stuff already being taken. Also, most of the posts are for items wanted instead of items for offering.

It's The Freecycle Network and you need to type in your state, etc. It can be a good thing if your timing is right. I know i have gotten some good items off there, books, clothing, sections of vinyl gutters, a built in wall oven(that was the best find!!!), and kitchen decor items.

I've gotten a few good things as well like my dd wanted to try out tennis, so I asked for an unwanted tennis racket and got one. I got bed rails for dd's bed, a new bicycle for dd and now just a pet carrier for my 2 new kittens! I've gotten rid of alot as well!

I love freecycle. I do agree that most things that I have responded to, have been gone. Try this though. If you are looking for something particular, post a wanted. I posted that I wanted computer speakers. I had someone reply saying that they had some that they planned on selling at their garage sale the following weekend. They work great.
