- I think it is a waste of money to buy indididual bottles of pop! (Tempting as they may be in the checkout line, I think it is a complete rip-off!)

- I think it is a total waste of money to buy any book at full price without checking out Amazon first! I have bought numerous books for one penny! Although there is usually a $3.99 shipping fee, it still beats dragging out two little boys under the age of three to a bookstore all the way across town, only to find out they don't carry it!

- I think it is a waste of money to buy brand new clothes at full price. I still buy them nice clothes at Gap, Childrens Place and Gymboree, but only if they are on clearance! The quality of their clothing is so much nicer and seems to last longer than the cheap stuff! On the same note, though, it is even cheaper to go to garage sales and scan for nice, used, brand-name clothing! This summer I hit the "mother-lode" and found a garage sale with all used, but in perfect condition clothes for my little guys! Everything was name brand and cost me $11.00 TOTAL for 2 full bags of Nike, Gap, Gymboree, etc.! My son still wears his little Nikes that no one could beleive were used!!

- I think it is a waste of money to charge on your credit card and spend beyond what you can afford to pay off that month! Especially if it is something useless, like dinners out, entertainment, etc.

- I will not waste my money on paper plates anymore. Yes, they are convenient, but if I am going to be doing a load of dishes in the dishwasher anyways, what's the difference if there are three more plates in there?

Wow - there are so many that have been listed that are so good. I think it's a waste to buy:

paper plates for sure - they are ridiculously expensive and I'm going to have to wash pots and pans and serving dishes anyway.

Expensive dishwasher soap - the generic has never failed me yet.

Expensive clohtes for my kids - they are still the age that they outgrow or ruin things too fast the way it is. Holes in knees or stains from who knows what are too common in our house.

2,000 dollar televisions. Ridiculous. We have one but it certainly was not my idea to get it. There was not one single thing wrong with the old one. It is paid for so I can't complain too much but why do men insist on all these top of the line electronics (surround sound, bose stereos). It drives me nuts.

also agree with the deigner purse thing...ridiculous as well. All mine come from garage sales or the clearance rack (marked WAY down).
