we have 3 two i closed and am paying off at an extremely low interest rate. and one is open and i lowered the limit to 500 bucks. so that is it once the two are paid off i have the option to reopen or keep closed i will be keeping them closed we don't need them open and we are in the house we plan on staying in so we don't really need any loans.

We have a Disocver and Visa that everything goes on depending on the rewards. For example, since July we have been putting all gas purchases on Discover as they have had a 5% cashback bonus. It now goes back to Visa which is only 3% cashback.

We also opened a Lowe's card when we bought our floors. That way we could do 12 months same as cash which to me means take that money, put it in a 12 month CD and pay it off when it comes due. We also have a Sears card for appliance purchases and benefits that way.

So, I guess we have four. BUT, we have ZERO credit card debt! They are tools for us to spend money and make a little bit. Nothing more. We are very good with our credit.

I voted 0-1, because we only have one that we use for everything. But like a few others, we pay it off every month, so we have ZERO credit card debt.

Well, we have a bunch of store cards (Penneys, Sears, Peebles, Home Depot) but only use them when there is a special going on at the store that you get more for - or the HOme Depot one we used because it was 0% for 1 year so we got our kitchen flooring and only paid $50 a month with no interest.

Other than that, DH has a Visa for the perks and I have a MC for the perks.

So, how do I answer this? We have many but really only use 2.

We have zero. We've been a no-credit-card house for 2 years now. It's hard sometimes, but it is such a huge relief 98% of the time. Those APR's will kill ya!

i put one, but we actually have 2. best buy (300 limit) and a Chase one that allows us to get cash back on groceries and necessities. we were recently card free, but my husband did his research, so we got the Chase one, and the Best Buy for appliances for our new home. We're really good at paying things off on time, so I'm not worried.

We have 2. A Visa that we use for everything but large appliances and pay off every month (we have an awesome rewards system with this card too.). And we have a Sears for the major appliances.

I can't imagine having more cards to keep track of.

We have a gas card, 2 store cards, and 2 major credit cards. The gas card we pay off monthly. The major credit cards are carrying balances, but we are paying those down. One store card has a balance for back-to-school shoes, but it doesn't charge interest on purchases paid off within 6 mos.
