How do you pay your credit card each month? Or do you even have one?

Well, I put that I pay the minimum (or close to it) but I am using the snowball method. I have 4 cards I am paying off, I am paying more on one card right now and when that one is paid off, I will add that amount to what I pay on the next card.

You will be hardpressed to catch me paying solely the minimum payment on ANYTHING. You never pay anything down that way. I read that if you have a $5000 balance, and pay only the minimum payment, it will take you 19, almost 20 years to pay it off. Crazy to think people actually do this, without knowing that. I know there have been a couple times where I've only been able to pay the minimum, but it wasn't something i was happy with. Things come up, and sometimes you can't pay more, but still. A lot of people walk around not knowing how long they will actually be paying if they are paying just the minimum, it's a huge eye opener when you find out! (edited to add, unless you use the snowball method, of course! in which case, the minimum payment thing on some cards works out)
My sister just quit working at Express, and their store has a credit card. She told me one day that some guy came in to pay his Express card bill, and that the balance on the card was $10.83. He handed her a ten dollar bill. She said, "do you have 83 cents?" "no, why". Because you only owe 83 more cents and your card will be paid off. "I'll wait"....what???? Who does that? He's going to pay like 17% interest on freaking 83 cents>????/ People don't think.

Us, too. We have made a lot of extra cash or goods via the perks on our credit cards.

If I don't have the money to pay cash, I don't buy it, but I can't remember the last time I paid cash for anything over $10.

we are trying to dig out so we are paying min on most of the cards. and trying to pay off the higher intrest ones first. most of our cards tho are 1.99-3.99% so that is not bad we have one more to pay off that is at 9.99% then the lower intrest ones. We are getting ther but it is hard to dig out of with only one income comming in.

I pay more than the minimum but not the entire balance. I had it paid off but we keep having unexpected expenses that I don't have enough saved for. We have no bling! I'm trying to pay as much as possible. I used my disney rewards dollars for as many Christmas gifts as I could. It will be awhile till we go to Disney so I figured that was more I could put on the credit card.

We, too, use our credit cards for the perks and pay it off in FULL every month. DH and I also love the fact that we can see where each dollar we spend is going everymonth. Two of our credit card statements are all itemized- Gas, grocieries, entertainment, and so on. It really helps us stay on budget in each area.
