Babysitting in your own home- the parents have to bring their child to you- that could work for you. Also- you can sell baby clothing and gear for free on Craig's List.

I'm sorry to hear you are having such a rough time. I'm praying for you!

Does your city have a craigslist? craigslist: san francisco bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events Always try selling there first b/c it's free to list and you don't have to split your profits! Find a couple big items (price not size) you don't need around your house and sell them!

I'm sorry you're going thru this right now! I was also going to suggest selling things! I personally always just do garage sales, but that's just me! I am planning on taking some things to the children's consignment store, they pay right away here! Either way though, in addition to making some money, you could clear out some clutter you may not need - easier to clean!

I"m sorry you're having such a hard time.

I don't know where you live as in how big of a town you live in but I will just toss some ideas out for you to see if maybe you can pick up money on the side.....

*Any talents or are you really smart in a certain subject? Give lessons or tutoring.
*Offer a dog walking service.
*Maybe do some car detailing if they drop the car off at your house.
*Can you sew and do you have a sewing machine? Maybe do some tailoring.
*Let people know in your area that you are willing to do some housecleaning. As long as they are close, you can walk to their house.
*Any working moms in the area? They might want a "mom's helper"- just someone to come in and maybe do some picking up, get supper ready, just whatever because they are overwhelmed with work and what not.

Think of what you can do then get the word out that you looking for some extra money but you don't have a car. You'd be really surprised at how many people might call, willing to pay you for a job that they need done but just don't have the time/energy to do it!

Since you are home majority of the time and you have a computer why don't you set up an online journal and have these people paid for you to put their advertisement in your journal? Lots of my friends are doing it they said its easy money if you are a SAHM.
PayPerPost.com :: Get Paid for Blogging, Blog Advertising, Advertise on Blogs I've never done it though but I heard its good.

Sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time lately. It sounds like you are really needing some YOU time and need to spend a few minutes taking care of you so you can best support your family. How about after the kids go to sleep getting a bubble bath, read a book, have a girlfriend over for coffee and playdate.

What do you enjoy doing? What kind of work experience do you have? Lots of work you can do from home over the telephone or computer. Obviously you have a computer and internet if you can post on here. Maybe you can find a way to make it work for you around your families schedule.

Let me know and together we can all brainstorm and plan out your options to fix this situation! Anything that you are passionate about is bound to show and your excitement will be contagious. You will be successful as well as fullfilled for following your heart.

Don't worry, things will get better. Promise!

I tried to do babysitting in my home, but I didn't really know what to charge, so I just charged the same as everyone else in the area. It took me a LONG time to get any kids, so I have a suggestion if you are thinking of doing that. I would call around(anonymously) to all the other at home childcare providers in your area and find out what they are charging, then make your prices CLEARLY the lowest. That is what I am going to do when I go to start up again. You have to be firm and confident about your prices and sound like you know what you are doing. People don't want to put their kids with someone who sounds like a beginner. I would make out a weekly menu, and look around on the web and print up some forms for the parent to fill out. Also, make an art station or something, so it looks like you have your house all set up like a daycare and post a picture of it on Craigslist with your listing. You could also have the parents bring the kids lunches/ dinners and just provide drinks and snacks. This could lower the cost too! Hope that helps!

Sorry you are having a hard time--my sister works in billing at our hospital and they ahve to accept anything you pay on it. I have had problems in the past with them getting the bills mixed up and sending them to collection first--he boss is an idiot. They also have wrote off bills before for lower incomes. The hospital does so many of these for a tax write off. I thought by law they had to take what you had --ex.. $5. payments.
