Ok so last week I tried to use a coupon at our local grocery store from the previous week. It was a promotion that you spend so much and then on your next purchase you get so much money back. Well anyway I had looked at the coupon so many times thinking yeah I won't ever be able to use this b/c I won't spend that much ($120 to get $12 off). Then I noticed that it said incomplete coupons excepted so I was like oh yeah that's get I normally spend around $80 so I should get $8 off. Well when I gave it to the cashier (whom I have had problems with before about using coupons) she told me that I couldn't use it b/c I didn't spend the $120. So I said to her why then does it say incomplete coupons accepted. She said back to me well that's just the way it is. So instead of arguing with her I just thought that I would email the store and see what I could get out of it. This is something that I normally don't do but $8 is $8. Well they send me a email saying that it must be a misprint. So I send them one back saying how could it be when it says it on 3 of them that I recieved. So later yesterday after being pretty PO'd about this, I am looking at this coupon and see in another part of it the rest of the statement. They were right. I didn't see the whole thing. Here I thought that this was a whole different paragraph when it was just a continuation! So I sent them an apology email this morning, not that what I wrote was really mean or anything, but I felt bad for accusing them of something that they didn't do. I just really feel bad about this.

Awww!! Don't feel bad abou it. It was an honst mistake, and could have happened to anyone. Wha impresses me is that you actually apologized, because that's pretty nice of you!! I think I might have been too embaressed to.

I don't get it. Do you mean incomplete coupons excepted or incomplete coupons accepted? What is an incomplete coupon?

You have to spend $120 to get $12 off. The way I had understood it the first time was that if I would spend less I would get a lesser amount off (10%). The part I was originally looking at says "Incomplete coupons accepted" I missed the first part because it was in a different column.

We've all made mistakes. At least you had the courage to admit it and apologize for the error.
