Wow, I didn't realize milk could be cheaper at the convenience stores, but I am definitely going to check that out!

Nope, no consignment or second hand. I wish I had been thinking winter coats during garage sale season!! We may try to go into Portland and see what they have-over an hour away-but there's a good will and other decent stores that are reasonable.

The only reason I don't shop at 7-11 is because it is not close to me. It is in town, but I live on the other side of town on the outskirts. If I ever do pass by, it is for junk food or milk. I have never gotten anything expired there. I suppose it is all in the workers.
Some people don't have cars. They have to do their once a month cab trip to the grocery store, and then walk to the convience store when they run out.
Gas stations and covience stores frequently have sales on milk to get you in. But lately it seems not as much.

That article is disturbing to say the least, and it's one that really has me counting my blessings, that's for sure. We haven't had to live paycheck to paycheck in many years, but I haven't forgotten what it was like in those days.

Interesting article. We actually find milk is normally cheaper at walgreens versus 7/11 around here.

Milk is usually 50 cents to $1 cheaper at the convenience store near me so I usually pick up just that on my way home from work.
