So I allott dh about $10 (not including gas) for the week. I figured he spends about $15 -$20. Well, its only Monday and he's gone through about $40! That's not including the $20 check he wrote Thursday for god knows what. We didn't need gas or anything that day. So I'm gonna be the b%$&$ and tell him he has no more money to spend for the week. AAARRRGGH. I'm sure it'll be a peaceful night in our household. lol Sorry girls but if I didn't post this, I'd be calling him on his break and ripping him a new one. Thanks for letting me vent.

I understand -- throughout our history, I've always had to be the adult / b*&%#@ about money and that sucks. I do believe my husband has gotten better over the years but I'm still in charge.

You know I get after my DH for spending $5 especially when he leaves work and gets something from the grocery that is within walking distance of home. Hello I will make you something if you come the extra 2 mins.

So you are not alone but for the most part my DH is pretty good but even the best of them don't make the most cost effective choices.

I do talk to my DH everytime he spends so he does know that its a big deal if he spends more the 10 in a day.

DH and I fight about charging his eating out with our CC. This reared it's ugly head in the past, but he's getting better. I understand using the CC if it's an unusual type situation, because sometimes, he may not be able to take a lunch some days or it may be a lunch meeting. I think he should give himself an allotment in cash and once the cash is gone, no more eating lunches out.

I am always getting after my husband when he spends. He mostly spends on eating out for lunch. He just go a new job and a pay raise from 13.50 an hour to 20 an hour, so now he feels he is entitled to eat out every single day at $8 a meal. I packed his lunch every day for 3 years. And now that I just got a part time job, I'm afraid he's going to take the girls out for supper every time I work(3-4 nights/week).
He also buys cd's all the time. And car magazines. I guess he deserves to have something nice too, since I buy myself clothes all the time and he almost never gets clothes. Oh well, I guess I'm a control freak anyway...
