I do daycare and have for 8 years now. In my state your own children or any blood relatives do not count towards your child count. Though for sanity reasons I DO count them! I found all of my families simply by going door to door and putting flyers on doorsteps (don't put them in mailboxes...it is against federal law!!). One of my neighbors took it to her church and her church posted it and I got all of my families right then from that church. I still have two of the original families and have added 3 new families through my own church and the preschool I transport preschoolers to. It has been a very rewarding, wonderful way to be a SAHM AND supplement our income. This September I am raising my prices for the first time in eight years and not one single family has protested!! I have had all of their kids from 8 weeks on and my oldest are now 8! My biggest piece of advice is to get to know your families, or know someone who knows your families. Be smart about the laws in your area, be smart about safety and just love what you are doing. There are tons of websites out there with free printables of forms and ideas for organizing your daycare business. Good Luck!!

This is kind of a work at home job. I do event planning specializing in kids parties. I doo most of the work from home and then go to the place where the party is being held for 3-4 hours.

Recently I was put on bedrest for the duration of my pregnancy and I'm starting to the feel the stress of not having a py check. My husband and I had not expected this to happen this soon and will be really stretched at the end of the month. Does anyone have any ideas that I can do from the computer and still be on bed rest?

I'm also a certified teacher. How did you get envolved with Educate Online?

I currently clean my mother-in-law's house once a week for two hours, and in exchange she pays for a membership for my oldest son and I at the YMCA. (In the past she has paid me in cash (works great either way!))

I agree! My husband and I have been following Dave's plan for about two years and are completely debt free except for our house. It's allowed me to stay home with our young son. I highly recommend catching Dave on the radio if you can...very motivating.
