Somehow I've been telling myself that I need to put $200 in savings but so far we ended up using that $200 to pay our bills that way its not just the "minimum" payments we are making.

It depends on the week. About 200 but if it includes the 1st week of the month then we need to pay the morgage and insurance and car payment, The second week takes our whole paycheck in bills.
So #1 pays car payment and auto insurance
#2 goes to other bills and debt
#3 & #4 go toward morgage
#5 if there is one anything extra

I paid min only payment until I had an emergency fnd set aside, at least $1K, I have $2K set aside.

I would suggest you have an EF set aside then you can start snowballing payments. Have you ever ready Dave Ramsey books? If not I highly suggest you do so.

Our EF was wiped out earlier this year. We're trying to slowly build it back up again.
