we are lucky. We are under 20%. We don't have a house note and we just have one car note. But at one time we were in debt up to our eyeballs.

Mine says it was high; we're at 42%.
However, we've got no credit cards and no car payments and only a mortgage.
We save about 1,500 a month between retirement and miscellaneous savings.
How is that high?
I thought we were doing great.

Ours is 1%. We have an interest free debt with my sons private school for his tuition. With the exception of this debt we are debt free!

Ugh!!! We are in serious debt, which is no surprise! Our ratio was well over 50% which scares me compared to what everyone else said it was. We do have a high mortgage and cannot refinance bc of the real estate market right now. I need to keep reading this site for new ideas to save money!
