I know this has probably been discussed to death, but... Does anyone know about this guy and his "Debt Elimination System" or any of his other things? I hear the ads on the radio all the time, but don't know what it's all about.

Is this one that you have to pay $350.00 up front? If so there was an article in my newspaper about it being basicaly spam and defintly not worth paying for.

I've never heard of him. I would stick w/Dave Ramsey. I have the feeling that the price of his book is much, much less and worth more.

Another post for "Never heard of him". However, if it sounds to good to be true it most likely is.

Also another advocate for Dave Ramsey.

I don't know anything about him, but I'd be very worried about someone who charges $350 for a debt elimination system!

I agree - the moms here swear by Dave Ramsey. I'd try to pick up his book at the library. Also, I have learned a lot by watching the Suze Orman show on CNBC. She has books out too for those struggling with debt. I'd recommend her. I actually think her advice is better than Dave's - although he's good too.

The best way to get out of debt is to educate yourself and have the willpower and discipline to pay it down. There are tons of free resources at the library - as well as this site. Ask away, we'll give you the scoop for free!

I'm honestly not as concerned about our debt as our income . Since we're getting rid of our cars, all that will be left is student loans and a small CC (and the mortgage, which doesn't count to me). And I'm about to hop on the Dave Ramsey bandwagon just to see how awesome he really is. But I was just curious about that other guy, since I hear those ads all the time.
