A few months ago I started living "gazelle intense" as Dave Ramsey calls it and looking at cutting corners and saving dollars to pay off any debt we have. I paid off one small credit card (that was interest free until 1/09) and just made a $900 payment on my other one (which is the only other one we have). It will probably take almost 1 1/2 years to pay off my credit card but every last available dollar will be going towards it. It felt great to make that high of a payment today and I look forward to making my last payment. Once it is gone, I'm done spending unless I have the cash. Stupid mistakes!!!

Good for you! I love hearing (reading) people talk about Dave and being "Gazelle Intense"! Any time anyone tells their little story about debt makes me want to go stare at my spreadsheets for a while and see where I can find more money!

Dave is awesome! We're going to be paying off DH's student loans this month! Yippee! We still have more to go, but the little victorys help us chug along!!!

Good job and good luck! Keep us posted!!!

I agree with SAHMto3boys! I love hearing/reading about everyones successes especially with Dave Ramseys plan. It also makes me want to become more gazelle intense! It will be totally worth it.

As a matter of fact, I often think about if we all stay connected through mommysavers for the next 5-10 years, the stories we will have to tell about how much 'wealth' we are building will be phenominal! I can't wait!

That is great! This year is will be our first cash only Christmas. The past three years we used credit cards to pay for gifts. Not this year. It may be smaller, but I think we will actually enjoy and appreciate it much more. Thanks for sharing your good news, it really does inspire the rest of us.
