E-bay has been great for me.. both in buying and selling! I'm divorced, living with my mom and my 5 year old daughter right now. I only work part time and am trying to get SSI due to a childhood accident. I don't get much in child support and he's behind, so I've started selling stuff on e-bay. I've also bought my daughter clothes and toys.
I have my own e-bay account, but I have a very trusted friend who has her own e-bay business and does it for me for only 25% of what I make. (I don't have to deal with the headache of all the packing and stuff this way).
Granted, I had someone(s) hack into my account and steal 100.00, but pay pal was on top of it and I got it back.. took awhile and I never really got the money back thanks to insufficent funds, so the bank took it! If you do want to try your hand at E-bay, keep an eye on your account! ANYONE can get into an account. I now have a special key ring that holds my passcode and it changes every 30 seconds. It has helped!

Jaci, I'm glad eBay has been successful for you. I tried it for about a year and never made much of a profit to really be worth my while. Only a few dollars here and there. What is this key ring you talked about? I'm not understanding that. Also, did someone hack into your eBay account or Paypal? That's pretty frustrating and scary, isn't it?

I love ebaying I sell all my boys clothes that are in good shape. It's not bad packing and shipping. I just pick up a few priority envelopes from the post office and keep them on hand. When my items sell I placed them in the envelope, weigh them on my digital bathroom scale, print out the shipping label throught paypal and schedule a pick up for the mail carrier.

I use the money I make from my items and purchase new clothes for my boys. I just resently got my son a winter coat and boots for $12.00.

Ebay is the best for sell and buy kids clothes.

My husband and I use sell do eBay here and there and it always was a good experience. But this last time -- with eBay fees, Pal Pay fees, and the USPS fees, non-paying bidders; it wasn't worth our time. I won't do it again.

I sometimes sell on Ebay, we sold Peters old console games and made $170 in our pocket. Not as much as he paid for them but better than nothing.
